"Thank God for Girls"
"(Girl We Got a) Good Thing"
"Do You Wanna Get High?"

"(Girl We Got a) Good Thing" (originally titled "Codependent") is the fourth track from The White Album.

"(Girl We Got a) Good Thing" is known for its Beach Boys style and abrupt bridge. It is one of three songs on The White Album to be written solely by Rivers Cuomo. On a Periscope live stream in April, Rivers sang alternate lyrics at the ending chorus:

Getting codependent
Just a couple chickens
Pecking at each other
Seething in resentment

In an interview for the show 2 Hours with Matt Pinfield, Cuomo explained that the song was originally called "Codependent" and described a relationship that was "getting ugly", but didn't seem to "take-off" with the music. He then began singing the lyric "Good Thing" around the melody, and wrote new lyrics about his experiences around Venice Beach.

Girl we got a good thing
You know where this is heading
Just a couple love birds
Happy to be singing
Girl we got a good thing
And I don't see this ending
Do you wanna fly?
Do you wanna flee?
Do you wanna get away with me?
Do you wanna face the great unknown?

Jingle, jingle
We're as happy as a couple Hare Krishnas
Dancing, twirling, playing on the tambourine
We'll crush the scene together
Marching onward
Oblivious to all the hate around us
We can self-publish a book of our philosophy
And hand it to the tourists

Puerto Rico
Would be perfect for a destination wedding
Or driving to Ventura on the 101
It sounds like fun to me

You scare me like an open window
Let's chalk it up to Stockholm Syndrome
I want to crawl in, crawl into a hole
