Overview
Featuring notable tracks such as an Elton John cover by The Wedding Present and a reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Henry Rollins, A Lump Of Coal is composed of an eclectic (at the time) roster of modern rock bands, and is now out of print.
Brian Bell's Carnival Art makes an appearance with the song "Bring A Torch, Jeanette Isabella", which also makes clever use of the song "Welcome Christmas", from the perennial yuletide TV special How The Grinch Stole Christmas. The track is a tradtional composition, arranged by Carnival Art, and was produced by Carnival Art with Tracy Chisolm. Recorded at Sweaty Elvis Studios in Los Angeles, the track is likely an outtake from the Chisolm-produced sessions for Thrumdrone.
