Jillian Lauren is the wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, and an author and performer.

Early Life

Jillian Lauren grew up in suburban New Jersey and later moved to New York city.

Writing Career

Lauren wrote her first book 'Some Girls' about her personal experience of being one of the women in the harem of a Brunai price. She initially was 'casted' for a 2 weeks job to accompany the prince of Brunai at his parties and eventually stayed for 18 months. In her book she tells the story and relates her experience and her 'coming of age'. Some Girls appeared on the New York Times bestseller list in May 2010.


Personal life

On November 9, 2005, Lauren married Scott Shriner in Hawaii. The couple adopted a son from Ethiopia on January 23, 2009.
