2011/04/30 Dallas, TX: Edgefest at Pizza Hut Park
...The day started with an early rise in Birmingham to get to the airport and fly to Dallas. Two of our bags went missing but were retrieved from the void due to the Sherlock Holmes-like detective work of our tour manager. Pizza Hut Park is where the Dallas FC (US soccer league) play, and its a massive arena out in what you might think is the middle of nowhere, but in fact is just another corner of the impossibly huge Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. So we vanned it out here and got into the show day rituals, in anticipation of tonights 8 PM set. Prior to weezer Social Distortion is playing, not to mention Seether and Neon Trees. After Weezer, its Jane's Addiction, which should be pretty great. The last time weezer shared a bill with them was back in the UK at (i think) the 2002 Reading Festival.
Its hot here - not nearly as hot as it gets here in the summer, but hot enough to feel like were in summer already. Also, large weird bugs are scuttling about.
