...MB '05 Tour: Day 101: Foozer/Wee Fighters #8: Phoenix, AZ - America West Arena
Deep inside your standard issue enormodome, surrounded by loud rock! Some might say a little too loud. But you know what some might say. Some might say we will find a brighter day. Sorry, just having an Oasis moment. As for Foozer, we're all getting back in the arena rock groove. Weezer is bringing their A game, a game that they really didn't even develop untill this year, and the response has been awesome. Everyone is still shaking off the effects of all the recent travel, so extra effort is getting put in on all sides, despite soreness, tired bones, creedliness, and what not. There are a few merciful days off coming up in the mix, so battery recharge is at last possible. Tonight the spirit of the early 90's Phoenix Suns with Charles Barkley kept everyone lively.

Thanks to tonights 'Undone' assistant and co-rock out-er, Mandy! And best wishes to the Foo's Tour Manager Gus, who had to sit out tonights 'game' due to an injury sustained while slam dunking. We believe he'll be back on track in Denver.

Post Weezer, the Foos were heard to tease the crowd a bit with some strains of "Say It Ain't So" and a few other weezer teasers, but no full song was done. Night after night, Foo Fighters rock!

Earlier tonight, the Kaiser Chiefs turned in another excellent tight set. This house is smokin'!

*NOTE* - if you see either of the 2 shirts for sale outside any venue on the Foozer Tour, know that they are ILLEGAL BOOTLEG shirts, and should not be bought for any price! These shirts are being sold illegaly and they do not benefit anyone but the scum who sell them. The ink on these shirts is very substandard and will wash out fast, and the shirts are usually printed on defective 'seconds'. Bootlegs - do not buy!

***Special Announcement for people going to the Foozer show in Denver on 9/30!***
The Foo Fighters and Weezer, who are performing at Denver’s Pepsi Center on September 30th, are partnering with Colorado not-for-profit www.consciousalliance.org to host a food drive to benefit Gulf region hurricane victims.

All patrons who donate five non-perishable food items, or $5, will be entered into a raffle to win one of five Foo Fighters posters signed by the band, along with a very special signed Weezer item. Donation bins will be located outside of each entrance to the Pepsi Center, beginning at 5 PM until one half hour into the start of Foo Fighters set. At the bins, donations will be redeemed for a raffle ticket - then submit your ticket into the raffle by stopping by the Conscious Alliance information table located inside the Pepsi Center. Winners will be notified via email or phone two days after the event.

All donations will benefit the Food Bank of the Rockies Hurricane Relief Project.

CCanned and dry food donation suggestions include: tuna, ham, beef stew, chili, baked beans, fruit, vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, soup and pasta. Also needed are bulk supplies of granola bars, meal-replacement beverages, baby needs (diapers, formula, food, bottles), and personal hygiene items (feminine care, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo and soap). Non-glass containers are preferred.
