10/09/05 grab your feller by the hand

..MB '05 Tour: Day 112: travel/day off: Washington, DC
Pulled in to DC in the morning after an all night trek across the wilds of Pennsylvania. We were staying pretty close to The National Mall, so there was a lot of strolling around looking at famous stuff today, like the FBI building, paintings by Willem DeKooning, and Fred Rodgers' sweater, which was not destroyed although Fred has walked away.

...It's official: "Perfect Situation" is the 3rd single from "Make Believe"! Many modern rock stations have already jumped on the song (some as early as the beginning of the summer in fact), but the official 'add' date is this coming Tuesday Oct 11! Call your stations and request it! You know this song rules!

No word yet on if there will be a UK/Euro/Int'l cd single for Perfect Situation, but it seems likely sooner or later to me. And you may hear a slightly shorter remixed-for-radio version of the song at some point, though I'm not sure when that will be ready for the world. You may recall news of the band doing a small recording session at the beginning of the Foozer tour in Atlanta - the work done there was for this remix.

...Meanwhile, thats not the only song off 'Make Believe' thats making the rounds. "Beverly Hills" is STILL going strong on top 40 radio and the top video charts, "We Are All On Drugs" is still on modern rock radio and Mtv2 and Fuse, and even "This Is Such A Pity" got some serious repeated play on a recent KROQ LA "new music block party weekend". Sweet.

...Hey guys... just a word of warning: these "autographs"? They're fake. Mikey was no longer in the band when Maladroit was released, and the autographs are just way wrong. Take it from one who knows... Buying autographs on the 'net (from anyone but the actual artist) is a risky proposition.
