"Oh Lisa" (also rendered as "Oh, Lisa") is a song recorded in contention for Weezer's eponymous Green Album. The song was released as a B-side on international CD single releases of "Island in the Sun."

Appearances

Overview

"Oh Lisa" was recorded during the sessions for The Green Album, and was at one time considered for placement on the album. Ultimately, the song was relegated to B-side status shortly before mastering, and eventually turned up on multiple international "Island in the Sun" singles, as well as a compilation album for the reality competition TV series WWE Tough Enough. An early mix of the song, featuring a different vocal take and different drum patterns in the chorus, was one of fourteen unmastered Green tracks leaked online prior to the album's release.

Lyrics

Simple stages in my mind
Now I'm running out of time
I'm wanting to
I wanna do you
Taking stock of feelings stored
Running circles overboard
I'm wanting to
I wanna do you

Oh, Lisa
Can you love me again?
I'll be holding on till then

Only old enough to tell
What is right and what is hell
I'm wanting to
I wanna do you
And if this is our last goodbye
I would love to see you cry
I'm wanting to
I wanna do you

Oh, Lisa
Can you love me again?
I'll be holding on till then
You got me holding on till then

Oh, Lisa
Can you love me again?
I'll be holding on 'til then

And if this is our last goodbye
I would love to see you cry
I'm wanting to
I wanna do you
I wanna do you
I wanna do you
I wanna do you
