Overview
According to the Catalog O' Riffs, "Sacrifice" was initally written in October of 2001. "Sacrifice is an Album 5 demo, one of several songs recorded in 2002 for consideration for the band's planned fifth album. The band initially demoed the song in March of 2002. Only one recording, dated July 2, 2002, has been shared online with fans, though the song continued to be demoed acoustically throughout October of that year. The song may have been later re-titled and/or reworked into a song titled "Flown Away" or "You've Flown Away" (with which it shares a COR number), a song demoed by the band at S.I.R. Studios and played live once at a secret acoustic show at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on November 3, 2002.

Lyrics
Long ago you said to me
"Boy, you are the one"
Now you've gone and turned from me
Tell me what I've done
Tell me what I've done
When you made your sacrifice
Told me it was true
Now I've gone to pay the price,
Tell me what to do
Tell me what to do
I believe
Now I see
I believe
Now I see
When you made your sacrifice
Told me it was true
Now I'm goin' to pay the price
Tell me what to do
Tell me what to do
