"Save Me" is a demo by Rivers Cuomo, recorded in contention for the band's fifth album, Make Believe.

Overview
"Save Me" is, seemingly, unrelated to the 2004 demo of the same name also recorded during pre-production on Make Believe. The Weezer Recording History makes no distinction between the two songs, listing both with the Catalog O' Riffs number of 610, and the demo compilation Alone IX: The Make Believe Years lists both songs as "Save Me." The 2004 version of "Save Me" is a reworking of the Cuomo demo "I Was Made for You" (also listed as #610 in the COR). A demo titled, "Please Save Me," is listed in the Recording History as having been recorded on December 19, 2003, but it is unknown which version (if any) this demo is related to.
According to the Recording History, this version of "Save Me" was first demoed acoustically at the band's rented office space on September 7, 2003. Multiple acoustic demos of the song were among hundreds of demos accidentally leaked through the demo storefront on riverscuomo.com on November 7, 2020. Several of these demos were sold as single-quantity MP3s when the storefront opened on November 11. The demos were soon thereafter made widely available to fans as part of the demo compilation Alone IX: The Make Believe Years, released on November 22.
