Scott Murphy (born February 11, 1979) is an American musician. He plays bass and is a vocalist and songwriter for the pop-punk band Allister. Murphy began studying Japanese in the early 2000s after touring the country with Allister and becoming interested in the culture. Murphy has released multiple albums in Japan as a solo artist. Murphy met Rivers Cuomo in 2008 [1], and the two comprise the duo Scott & Rivers. Murphy is also a member of the band MONOEYES, formed in 2015.
