Overview

"Superbabe 2000" was written by Kevin Dotson (better known by his stage name Linus of Hollywood) and is most likely about former Rentals and Supersport 2000 member Cherielynn Westrich. The song features multiple references to her (such as the title being a play on "Supersport 2000") and samples Westrich's vocals on The Rentals' song "Brilliant Boy" as well as a verse of Supersport 2000's song "Popeye".

Personnel

  • Linus of Hollywood - lead vocals, guitars
  • Robt Ptak - bass, vocals
  • Dave Armstrong - drums

Lyrics

She's a punk rock Sharon Stone
I think about her when I'm all alone
When she's near my lips are tightly sewn
She knows what it means to rip out all the seams
Of my heart

She's the singer in my favorite band
She pouts her lips like no other girl can
Some day I'll get the guts to take her hand
And get down on my knees, beg her pretty please
For her, no

She's a superbabe
Two thousand
A superbabe
Two thousand

If beauty was a kingdom, she'd be queen
And If she'd have me I'd be her king
Get the chills every time she sings:
"Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening"

She's a superbabe
Two thousand
A superbabe
Two thousand

Everyone's thinking of her
But I'm the only one who could love her

She's a superbabe

She's a superbabe
Two thousand
A superbabe
Two thousand

She's a superbabe
Two thousand
A superbabe
Two thousand

She's a superbabe
Two thousand
A superbabe
Two thousand

(Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening
Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening
Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening
Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening
Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening
Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening
Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening
Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening)

(She's a punk rock Sharon Stone

She's a punk rock Sharon Stone
I think about her when I'm all alone
She's a punk rock Sharon Stone
I think about her when I'm all alone)
