Lyrics

Oh, sweet child
I hate to hurt so
I want you to believe
I've tried so hard
To do the right thing
To be an honest man

But you're the fool
And I have you dangling
On the end of my string

Oh, sweet girl
I hate to let you go
And watch you fall away
Honesty has really let me down
It's really let me down

But you're a fool
And I have you dangling
On the end of my string

Oh oh, honesty is never enough...

Oh, the breakup...
