"The Strong Ones" is a song by Rivers Cuomo, originally demoed in contention for Weezer's fifth album, Make Believe.

Overview

"The Strong Ones" is a reworking of the previous Cuomo demos "Purple Flowers" and "Always, Forever." It is first known to have been demoed by Cuomo at S.I.R Rehearsal Studios in June of 2004.[1] The song is one of several iterative rewrites of Catalog O' Riffs entry #578 that would ultimately culminate in the song "Last Chance," which was completed by Weezer during the final Make Believe sessions at Grandmaster Recorders in Los Angeles, but did not appear on the final album.

Though prior and subsequent iterations of "The Strong Ones" appeared on the demo compilation Alone IX: The Make Believe Years in 2020, "The Strong Ones" has never been heard by fans.
