Alone III: The Pinkerton Years 1994-1997 is a compilation album by Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo. It is the third entry in the Alone Series following 2007's Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo and 2008's Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo. The title "Alone III: The Pinkerton Years" was announced in an August 19, 2010 posting by Rivers Cuomo on the weezer.com forums. On the release date of Hurley, during the 98.7 radio event "Breakfast With Weezer", Cuomo stated that Alone III would come out in December 2010 and would contain the rest of the unreleased Songs from the Black Hole. He later posted on his Facebook account that it had been green-lighted and would hopefully be released in January 2011. During a "Nerd Night" in September 2011, Sarah C. Kim stated that the album should be released in November. The album was finally released December 12, 2011.

Cuomo had played several of the demos on his USTREAM before the CD was released, including I'm Lonely On A Saturday Night, I'm on Fire, You're a Liar, Getchoo, Susanne, Waiting On You, and Now I Finally See.

Contrary to rumor, Rivers' demo of "Devotion" was never part of the tracklist for the album.
