...In the mini-tour mix tonight: a headliner show, with Philly's Mewithoutyou opening. Another big energy show, totally sold out Friday night New Jersey craziness! Weezer has played several times at the Borgata, a casino/hotel complex located in the swampy outskirts of Atlantic City. Its a strange place for rock, but the children and adults of southern NJ need access to the weez, and the Borgata was built for exactly this purpose, and no other.
In the house tonight, beetle from allthingsweezer.com, who noted the presence of Rivers' "legendary" 2001 brown vest jacket in the wardrobe case backstage.
Apparently also in the house was RC's budrow Jermane Dupri, doing some sort of DJ set somewhere. But somehow the weez and Dupri paths never crossed! Well, the Borgata complex is enormous, so who knows.
