Overview
A custom guitar, featuring the flag of Korea and a shout out to the Korean national soccer team (called "Reds"), was built for Rivers by Kraken Guitars especially for this performance.[1]

Hi James,
First of all, thank you for your generous offer to build a guitar for Rivers. Sorry it took us some time to respond. As far as technical specs (I don’t know much about technical stuff), he likes the look and feel of a Fender Stratocaster, but prefers the sound of the Gibson SG (which is what he mostly uses these days). He’s not that concerned about technical specs though, especially since he’s only playing guitar on a few songs for these upcoming tours.
I know there is not enough time to build a custom guitar, but would it be possible to get one of the existing models you suggested with a custom paint job? He would love to play this guitar at the show in Korea. As far as design, he suggested some or all of the following: 1. The distinctive reddish color of the Korean National Team jersey 2. “Be the Reds” from the World Cup 2002 shirts (not sure if there would be copyright issues with using this) 3. Tiger 4. The swooshy design from the 2006 Korean football supporters club shirt 5. Korean flag
I did a quick mock-up of using some of these elements, but can you let me know if it’s even possible and we can go from there?
Thanks!
Sarah C. Kim
