...Rain! Back to sunny Cali and its a rainy damp evening here in Mountain View. But will that slow the rock train down? I think not. If anything the drama of the intense weather just kicked things up a notch. The fully seated Shoreline is a beautiful venue, but of course the lack of GA pit means that you dont get that sweaty crush of fans in the front. You sort of have to generate the energy organically, which Weezer has become a specialist at. The people with seats stood and raised a fist and shouted loud, and if they thought the tent overhang would sheild their pricier seats from the rain, they were only partly right, as Rivers's water bottle showers gave them a taste of the elements! Tonight was the last night with Chester French, who have been starting these shows off with a dynamite power rock set, setting the mood and shaking the booty. Any band who can bust out with "Forgot About Dre" AND "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight" in th esame set is worthy of attention! Great guys too, we wish them well. Their slot will be filled by Asher Roth in upcoming shows, whereas the mighty Taking Back Sunday emains in their spot in the line up. Of course after the next two shows, Weezer will be bowing out of the Bleezer. Its been a really fun ride so far!
