The day he thought his life caved in
He shut the door and killed the light

Then he lived inside a comic book
One which the hero never dies
It didn't work, 'cause some other jerk
Spilled some dirt to bury him

So he bribed a shady angel
To be his friend and to call him dead
He sealed his room with all its gloom
And like a tomb, it buried him

Now he has his smokes and a murder book
A beer cap puzzle and the TV's glow
