The band met up with Ric Ocasek at S.I.R. rehearsal studios on the West side of Manhattan, about a 30 minute walk from the hotel. The plan was to rehearse here for several days to make the final descisions on which songs would be attempted in Electric Lady. This day was used to set up the gear and run through the bands 14 songs several times while Ric listened and made comments.
