The song was briefly demoed in contention for Make Believe, but was scrapped in early preproduction. The bridge is at a different tempo and resembles the chorus of So Low, which was recorded in contention for Weezer's previous album, Maladroit.
Lyrics
So lonely
On my own
I call you
But you're not home
It's been so many nights since I had you right by my side
And I don't think I could take you back even if you change your mind
I don't need you anymore
I'm stronger now
So back it out my door
You made your bed
So lie in it
I can't admit
You hurt me
Awful bad
I've never
Been so sad
And now you think you can come right back where you used to be
I have a news report for you so listen up to me
I don't need you anymore
I'm stronger now
So back it out my door
You made your bed
So lie in it
I can't admit
Oh, there was a time
When I was just trying to be with you
And you
Left me out on my own
La la la la la, la la la
Oh, so low
Oh-oh, so low
Oh-oh, so low
So low, alone
I don't need you anymore
I'm stronger now
So back it out my door
You made your bed
So lie in it
I can't admit you
Oh, well there was a time
When I was just trying to be with you
And you
Left me out on my own
La la la la la, la la
