I Must Find This Karlophone... is the second studio album of Karlophone. It was released on February 26, 2007.[1]

Overview

The album, whose full title is rendered on its art as I Must Find This Karlophone... and Kill Him If My Home Planet Is to Be Saved!, was arranged and recorded between Karl Koch's responsibilities to Weezer, from 2002 to 2006. Two songs feature contributions from long-time Weezer collaborator Pat Finn.

It was originally intended to be released in late December 2006, but last-minute delays meant it would not be finalized until January 27, 2007, and it did not officially release until February 26.[2][3] IMFTK was released on both CD and vinyl through Koch and Finn's record label Amorphous Records. According to the Collectors Discography, 500 copies were pressed onto CD and a limited run of 150 numbered copies were pressed to vinyl, alongide 50 un-numbered "promo" copies sent to radio stations and friends, and 5 test pressings.[4][5][6] The CD was also released through the music distribution platform CDBaby, and the album was available on digial music platforms. The vinyl release excludes "Indian Summer" due to restrictions in length.[1]
