Today marked the first show in a weeklong summer weezer march across North America, mostly in Canada. Today we assembled the weez machine in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, a sometimes sleepy seaside town that likes to party when the mood strikes it. Fans came from all around, as far south as Providence RI and as far North as New Brunswick to join us at the historic Hampton Beach Casino, which reminded me of Roseland in NYC or the Palladium in LA with its big wide old wooden ballroom style.

Opening were Bad Rabbits, a super tight funk band that sounded like Rick James' Stone City Band or Prince's New Power Generation at times. Those guys knew what they were doing and the New Hampshire crowd dug it. Then Weezer took the stage and the energy in that old ballroom was amazing. Thanks, New Hampshire!
