2011/07/12 The Weezer Cruise - Set Sail with Weezer

The Weezer Cruise www.theweezercruise.com is sailing on the Carnival cruise ship Destiny porting from Miami to the island of Cozumel off of the Gulf Coast of Mexico, on January 19 – 23, 2012.

Coming along with us are special guests Dinosaur Jr, as well as Sebadoh, Gene Ween and Dave Dreiwitz, Wavves, The Antlers, Yuck, Free Energy, Boom Bip, J Mascis, Lou Barlow, Keepaway, Ozma, The Nervous Wreckords, The Knocks, Sleeper Agent and Yacht Rock Revue.

That’s right – Weezer is hitting the open seas. It’s going to be our own floating music festival on a cruise ship. Weezer will perform on the outdoor Lido deck and in the inside theater. All of the bands will be performing in stages around the ship, festival style, so you can catch any or all of them during the entire trip to Cozumel and back.

And there is more! The “Destiny” is a fully functioning cruise ship and floating resort that features gourmet dining, 24-hour room service (free of charge whenever you want!), pools, hot tubs, a full-service casino, waterslide, world-class spa services and more.

We’ve got more activities and events in the works. You will also get to take a photo with the band and be a part of an exclusive Q&A on the Lido deck. (for those who asked - yes, of course Karl will be there. Gotta have someone in the crows nest, after all!)

Prices start at $799 per person for double cabins, or pile in four people for just $599 per person plus $179 for taxes and port fees. Only $199 per person secures your spot onboard and with a payment plan available.

Make sure to take some time and look through this site, as it has a lot of info on it (there are rules about age limits, additional onboard fees). You must be 21 or older at the time of sailing. Any guest under 21 must be accompanied by someone 25 years or older. Use your email address that you used to join Weezer.com to get priority booking.
