Overview
"Return to Ithaka", like "The Waste Land", is an instrumental. In December of 2017, an early version of EWBAITE leaked online, wherein "Ithaka" was titled "Resurrection".
Of the three thematic song groupings featured on EWBAITE, "Ithaka" is categorized under the group "Belladonna", consisting of songs written about Cuomo's relationships with women. Though the song has no lyrics, the section for "Return to Ithaka" in the album's liner notes feature a passage of ancient Greek from Book 22 of Homer's Odyssey[1]:
Translated:
"You dogs! You never thought I'd come back home
from the kingdom of the Trojans, so you ravaged my house,
lay in bed by force beside my women slaves, my women,
and wooed my wife illicitly though I was alive,
fearing neither the gods who hold wide heaven
nor that there'd be any men's censure thereafter.
