Tell Me What You Want

A song we tried out for the album Van Weezer. Ultimately, it was in the same style genre as 1 More Hit, but was an inferior song. Because of this, it was cut. I played this song for a crowd of 50+ in an April 30th Rivertube performance. The bridge of the song interpolates Zep Jamb, an old Maladroit Era demo. The verses of Tell Me What You Want are from Everything Will Be Alright In the End. They're written from the perspective of Sebastian.

Lyrics:

This is a message that my manager wouldn't approve
After this song, [I'll have?] a lot of cleaning up to do
Don't be influenced by an office full of dorks
I won't mention any names: Pitchfork

Tell me what you want
I'm gonna get right on it
Tell me what you want
I'll write it down in my notebook
Duly noted

Tell me what you want
If it's gonna make you happy
Give you my guitar
Shot me all your hot licks
Damn that's cool

I need a tastemaker to tell me which way to go
So I can play the half time show at the super bowl
Everyone's entitled to their own opinions
[?] three seconds

Tell me what you want
I'm gonna get right on it
Tell me what you want
I'll write it down in my notebook
Duly noted

Tell me what you want
If it's gonna make you happy
Give you my guitar
Shot me all your hot licks
Damn that's cool

Hey, baby
Tell me
Are we almost there
Say, baby
[?]

Tell me what you want
I'm gonna get right on it
Tell me what you want
I'll write it down in my notebook
Duly noted

Tell me what you want
If it's gonna make you happy
Give you my guitar
Shot me all your hot licks
Damn that's cool
