"She'll Do" is an unreleased song written by Matt Sharp.

Overview

Matt Sharp performed the song while touring his solo material for his eponymous solo album and 2003 EP. At a show in Nashville, Tennessee on October 23, 2003, Matt introduced the song saying "The lady in my life told me all the songs on the record are too depressing, so write something happy." The song, ultimately, did not appear on an album.

Lyrics

Well, she takes off all her clothes
Puts her cellphone on the dresser
And her cigarettes lay on the floor with mine
She turns off all the lights
And opens up the windows
And rain blows on this lonely night

Right, she'll do, she'll do
Why do I sleep next to you
If I don't want you in my life?
Yeah, she'll do, she'll do
What's this world coming to?

Well, we step out to the street
To the twisted street, the ugly street
The ugly street the world just left behind
She stands behind me naked
And then climbs up on my shoulders
And reaches up into the sky

Right, she'll do, she'll do
What's this world coming to
If I can't take you for a ride?
Yeah, she'll do, she'll do
What's this world coming to?

Yeah, we're back there in the street
In that twisted street, the ugly street
The ugly street that got left behind
And the rain falls on her face
Her little pretty face, her chubby face
And then we say those false goodbyes

Hey, she'll do, she'll do
And while it's not up to me and you
To tell this world what's wrong and what is right
Hey, she'll do, she'll do
I mean, what's the world coming to
If I can't keep you in my life?
Hey, she'll do, she'll do
What's this world coming to?
