The Blue Demo (released 1987) is the first studio demo by Avant Garde and probably the earliest studio recordings of Rivers Cuomo. This demo was pressed on black shelled cassettes with plain looking light blue label stickers on one side. There were probably less than 50 copies printed. The demo is currently circulating in mp3 form.
