Timothy James Arthur Wheeler (born January 4, 1977) is the frontman for the Irish power pop band Ash. He is the lead singer, lead guitarist, and principal songwriter for the band.
Wheeler is a fan of Weezer, as well as a contemporary and acquaintance. Ash toured with Weezer in 1996, and he has been connected with Weezer in numerous ways since.
In late 1996, Wheeler was the recipient of a phone call from Brian Bell that resulted in the Ash B-side "Devil's Haircut", and in 1999 made two guest appearances on The Rentals' second album Seven More Minutes.
Wheeler has also professed his adoration for Pinkerton, and admitted that it was a primary influence on Ash's 1998 album Nu-Clear Sounds [citation needed].
