Lyrics
My translator, my pharmacist, my analyst
Waits for the day to fade in a dark café
She'd talk about her theories, her philosophies
Of how we should live our lives and how I messed up mine
My translator, my publicist, my amorist
Repeating every phrase, every word I say
She mediates all of my relationships
But she ain't no supporting actress
My connection with the passionate world
Where I'd never been, she lets me in
And she guides me through the ???
I follow her everywhere
She don't care
Translator
Knows what I need
She talk for me
Translator
Knows what to say
She'll lead the way
Into the passionate world
One phrase behind my girl
My translator, my optimist, my catalyst
Don't need no master plan
Don't need no money, man
She says we don't need all those things I think we need
She's inspiring and I am listening
My connection with the passionate world
Where I'd never been, she lets me in
And she guides me through the ???
I follow her everywhere
She don't care
Translator
Knows what I need
She talk for me
Translator
Knows what to say
She'll lead the way
Into the passionate world
One phrase behind my girl
She says she has to go
She can't stay long
Her family needs her back home
She has to leave
She can't help me
With what to say
She goes away
Translator
Knows what I need
She talk for me
Translator
Knows what to say
She'll lead the way
Into the passionate world
One phrase behind my girl
Into the passionate world
One phrase behind my girl
Into the passionate world
With my translator
One phrase behind my girl
With my translator
She's my translator
She's my translator
She's my translator
Early version lyrics
My interpreter, my pharmacist, my analyst
Waits for the day to fade in some dark café
She'd talk about her theories and philosophies
Of how we should live our lives, she puts me back in line
She's amused and confused by my silence
But it's inspiring when I'm listening
She says we don't need all those things we think we need
Don't need no master plan
Don't need no money, man
My connection with the passionate world
Where I'd never been, she lets me in
And she guides me through the ???
I follow her everywhere
She don't care
Translator
Speaks for me
When I'm in need
Shows me a freedom
I've never seen
That I'm missing
I'm living through her
My translator
She's the only one who ever understands me
Interprets every phrase, every word I say
She's in the middle of all of my relationships
She says she feels like a supporting actress
My connection with the passionate world
Where I'd never been, she lets me in
And she guides me through the ???
I follow her everywhere
She don't care
Translator
Speaks for me
When I'm in need
Shows me a freedom
I've never seen
That I'm missing
I'm living through her
My translator
She says she has to go
She can't stay long
Her family needs her back home
She has to leave
She can't help me
With what to say
She goes away
Translator
Don't leave me now
I'm learning how
To find the freedom
That's evaded me
That I'm missing
Oh, my sweet little girl
Oh, what am I to say once you go away?
Yeah, what am I to do
How do I find the way without you?
Into the passionate world
With my translator
Into the passionate world
With my translator
Into the passionate world
My translator
