Tyler Cole is an American actor, singer, writer, and composer from Traverse City, Michigan. He is best known for his collaborations with musician Willow Smith. Cole has released two albums as a solo artist, Stranger and We're in Love & the World Is Ending. In late 2021, Cole was sought out by Rivers Cuomo to co-produce the 2022 Weezer EP, SZNZ: Autumn.

When discussing the origins of Cole working with Weezer in an interview with SiriusXM, Cuomo stated:

I was just on my morning walk listening to music, and this song came on, "Meet Me At Our Spot", and it just blew me away. It sounded so cool, like indie rock, but extremely catchy and emotional and relatable. I had no idea who it was, but it just was like, "man that's kind of not too far from what I'd love to do for our Autumn record." And I just called my manager when I got home and said, "connect me to who ever produced that" and he said, "well actually, I think it's just the guy in the band who produced it."

So, I talked to him in the phone and it turns out he said he was a big Weezer fan. Like growing up it was one of his big influences, so I was happily surprised to hear that and it all kind of made sense because as you can see in the spreadsheet, the primary emotion of Autumn for us was going to be anxiety, and here he is in this band called "The Anxiety." It was meant to be.
