capitalization of W

yes, i'm a freak for doing this, but I noticed in a couple of the articles you wrote you didn't capitalize Weezer. keep em' capitalized, my good man. and keep up the good work on everything else, you rock.--MyNameIsJason 10:42, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, in the back of my mind, I was wondering if anyone was gonna bring that up. I've always made a point to make it lower case, as the official logo has always been lower case, in any weezer-related writings I do (see, dammit, I just did it again!). Much like that dog. is lower case with the period at the end, I've always treated it that way. I started doing it here out of habit, then realized some of the articles make a point to capitalize it, then started doing it myself, and then got lazy again/reverted back to my default ways. If you guys wanted it capitalized at all times, I'll be glad to comply. Thanks for the shout out! --BringHomeTheTurkey

ranking

Haha, nice! Your order's actually close enough to mine that I'd actually consider it the same... cos mine changes constantly in my mind. Haha.--Nikki4982

Congratulations

Jonas and I discussed it, and we can think of no user more worthy than you to gain mod status. You do great work, man, and we appreciate all that you do. So, you're an admin now. You've got super powers and whatnot. We're going to be setting up =wp= emails for you and Donny, so please let me know the following:

A. What would you like your email addy to be? bringhometheturkey@weezerpedia.com or bhtt@weezerpedia.com?
B. What email address do you want your =wp= emails to forward to? This is basically a forwarding email, but it will make you look more professional and whatnot.

Thanks again for all you do! Any questions, get in touch with me or jonas. --Megasnorkel (admin) 01:46, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey stranger

If and when you get the chance, please respond to the email that I sent out to the mods earlier in the month. Thanks! --24.149.17.115 06:16, 18 August 2009 (EDT)

Band names, titles of songs, albums

See: Weezerpedia:Style_Guide#Band_names_and_titles_of_songs_or_albums.

In band names and titles of songs or albums, capitalize words that are not coordinating conjunctions (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so), prepositions (in, to, over), articles (an, a, the), or the word to when used to form an infinitive. Note that short verbs (Is, Are, and Do) and pronouns (Me, It, and His) are capitalized. Do not replicate stylized typography in logos and album art, though a redirect may be appropriate (for example, KoЯn redirects to Korn).

When necessary, disambiguation should be done using (band), (album), or (song) (such as Anthrax (band) or Insomniac (album)); use further disambiguation only when needed (for example X (U.S. band), X (Australian band)). Unless multiple albums of the same name exist (such as Down to Earth), they do not need to be disambiguated any further. For example, Down to Earth (Ozzy Osbourne album) is fine, but Insomniac (Green Day album) is unnecessary. Disambiguate albums and songs by artist and not by year unless the artist releases multiple albums with the same name. When a track is not strictly a song (in other words a composition without lyrics, or an instrumental that is not a cover of a song), disambiguation should be done using (composition) or (instrumental). --Soupandballoons 14:34, 11 November 2009 (EST)

plans for the future

Hey.
I'm not sure how often everyone has been editing here, but my productivity with =wp= has steadily decline of late. I plan on changing this! I'm promising myself that I am going to edit 1 page a day. Yesterday, I made Josh Freese, and today I beefed 367. Hopefully I can start contributing like the good ol' days, cuz =wp= is important to me. keep it on the up. - MNIJ.

blank lines after songboxes

you're hauling ass on those that dog. pages. nice. I think we shouldn't have any blank lines at the top of the page, though. if they're there for a reason and i'm on crack, keep em. but i think they look a little weird. when you're making the page, just don't put any spaces between the last little }} of the songbox and the "Song Title" is the blah blah track on blah blah album...

keep on keepin on.

installing extensions

hey. I'm tinkering around with possibly making the entire Gallery page one big image map, and I'm having some trouble. Do we have an imagemap extension installed? What the hell is an extension? Do you know what I'm talking about at all? I'm sending this to all the mods to see what's going on. I have the code for the imagemap made (i used this to make it), but i don't know what to do from there. if it's any help, the code is saved in the Sandbox. the extension can be found here. thanks.

Howdy Everyone

I wanted to draft you this little word to thank you very much again regarding the breathtaking tactics you have documented on this site. It is so shockingly generous of you to grant unreservedly exactly what most of us would have distributed for an e book to end up making some money for themselves, specifically seeing that you could possibly have done it if you wanted. The pointers also acted like the great way to comprehend some people have similar keenness just like my very own to learn great deal more with regards to this condition. I'm certain there are several more enjoyable periods ahead for many who browse through your website.

Gallery:Fan Club

Hey old friend. Hope you're doing well! I just wanted to say I just stumbled upon Gallery:Fan Club and it blew my mind. Thank you so much for uploading those! A rare gem hidden within this wiki we both put so much energy into many years ago. Sending my best to ya. --MyNameIsJason (talk) 03:38, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
