Fan recollection
An attendee recounted the concert in an e-mail to Karl Koch:[3]
3/22/95 Detroit
The show was at the State Theater in Detroit. I remember a friend had been given a copy of the first record by his sister and we enjoyed it. At the time I was operating a fake zine with the purpose of getting into shows for free.
Keeping in mind that my friend and I were in our mid-twenties, it seemed like we had some how arrived at a junior high roller skating party. By this I mean there were a ton of really young girls down in front of the stage. Then up in the bar area were a ton of parents.
The show was really good and the State is an awful building. So this says to me that Weezer rocked hard enough to overcome the poor facility. Good stuff. I forgot who opened.
