Indonesian weezer fans (and those from neighboring countries who made the trek) have shown legendary love and devotion for many years, and we are so fortunate to have you guys in our corner! For this show, Rivers took a deep dive into Indonesian, adding to the long list of languages he has spoken and sung on stages around the world. It went over well!

An eyewitness account from long time weezer Fan Club member Hasief Ardiasyah #1312:

"...For Weezer's first ever show in Jakarta way back in 2013, they played the Blue Album in full plus the other greatest hits and even "Across the Sea" which had me sobbing like a baby. So the bar was raised high when the band finally came back to headline the Soundrenaline Festival, and they achieved it courtesy of a cover of the Indonesian Eighties pop classic "Anak Sekolah" by the late legend Chrisye, along with a selection of Indonesian banter by Rivers that felt so authentic some people in the crowd were certain someone was feeding him lines through his in-ears. Nope, just a lot of care and hard work went into it. And so the bar has been further raised for the band's Bali show in a few days. Watch this space..."
