David Ryan Adams (born November 5, 1974) is an American singer-songwriter and producer, best known for his solo career. He co-wrote the Weezer song "Run Away."
Biography
In 1994, Adams founded the band Whiskeytown. In 2000, he left the band to pursue a solo career. In 2019, seven women came forward with sexual misconduct allegations against him, including exchanging sexually explicit photographs with an underage fan.[1]

Rivers Cuomo described the songwriting process for "Run Away" in a 2010 interview:
"It was super fun working with Ryan. He has a lot of crazy energy and enthusiasm. I showed him a few ideas I had, and he said, "Great, let's go in the studio and jam it out right now." So I got on the drums and he got on the guitar, and we just jammed out the ideas for half an hour. And at the end of that, we pretty much had the song that you hear on the record."
