Overview
Catalog O' Riffs entry #404 was, apparently, written around 2002 (listed in the Catalog as "I am gay"[1]). At some point thereafter, the song was named "I Don't Need You." The song was demoed by Cuomo at S.I.R. Studios in early 2004 during preproduction on Make Believe, but did not make the cut. Two recordings of the song were released to fans in 2020 as part of the demo compilations Alone VIII: The Maladroit Years and Alone IX: The Make Believe Years.
