Tim Maloof was the bassist and backing vocalist for the Space Twins. Although Brian Bell was the band's primary songwriter, Maloof is credited with writing several tracks, including "There's Always Tomorrow", "Nico," and "Birds in the Street."
Before Brian Bell moved to Los Angeles, he was in a band called The Blue Shrooms that also included Tim and Tim's brother Glenn Maloof.
Tim was also a guitar tech and roadie for Weezer (at Brian's request) on the Summer 2000 Tour. It was during this stint that Tim inadvertently earned the nickname "Blan-Blan", coined by Patrick Wilson when he couldn't remember Tim's name one time.
Tim is also an accomplished violinist.
