"I Don't Want Your Loving" (sometimes rendered as "I Don't Want Your Lovin'") is the second track on Death to False Metal. It was originally recorded in contention for Weezer's fifth album, Make Believe.
Overview
"I Don't Want Your Loving" was first recorded by Rivers Cuomo as a demo on March 7, 2003. Cuomo later shared this recording with fans online. The song was rehearsed numerous times at S.I.R. Studios in Los Angeles during that spring, and recorded again numerous times with Rick Rubin at Swing House Studios in November of that year. The song continued to be worked on at Cello Studios during the production of Make Believe before it was, ultimately, abandoned. The recording of the song from Cello Studios would eventually see release in 2010 on the compilation album Death to False Metal.
The Recording History erroneously lists the song's Catalog O' Riffs number as both 436 and 439. It is unknown which entry is correct. The press release for Death to False Metal erroneously describes "I Don't Want Your Loving" as a Maladroit-era song. Brian Bell and Scott Shriner, who received songwriting credits on "I Don't Want Your Loving," are instead erroneously listed in the Death to False Metal liner notes as having co-written "Blowin' My Stack."

Lyrics
Album version
You are cool and you're hot
And you know what you've got
You can have anyone
You just call and they come
But I won't be a number on your list
I have way too much pride to go for this
'Cuz I don't want your lovin'
I don't want your love
You came back this morning
But I don't want your love
When I turn you away
You don't know what to say
Every word that you know
Gets caught up in your throat
Because nobody ever turned you down
Well I guess you had better learn to frown
'Cuz I don't want your lovin'
I don't want your love
You came back this morning
But I don't want your love
Ooh, why don't you tell me goodbye
Ooh, why don't you tell me, why don't you tell me goodbye
So I won't be a number on your list
I have way too much pride to go for this
'Cuz I don't want your lovin'
I don't want your love
You came back this morning
But I don't want your love
Cuz I don't want your lovin'
I don't want your love
I don't want your lovin'
You can pack it up
