"Happy Together" is a the sixth track from the 1967 album of the same name by The Turtles. The song was covered by Weezer at various points in the band's career.

Overview
When director Spike Jonze was finishing his film, Adaptation, in early 2002, he asked Weezer to record "Happy Together" for inclusion in the movie. The band learned to play the song during soundcheck before a show in Barcelona and demoed the song a few weeks later during the the early sessions for the band's planned fifth album. Ultimately, Jonze decided to use The Turtles' original recording in the final cut. Said Jonze:
- "With every little piece in the film, we experimented endlessy to find the balance, and that is why we were in the editing room for 13 months. So thank you again for participating in our search. I still listen to the acoustic version you did in the hotel. It’s really sad and pretty."[1]
Weezer's studio version from that period remains unreleased, though a live soundboard recording was released on the official site, and is frequently traded digitally online. The date of the recording is unknown.
In 2018, Rivers Cuomo added the song to the setlist of his solo acoustic shows with a snippet of Green Day's "Longview" in the bridge. Later the same year, on the 2018 Weezer and Pixies Summer Tour, the band started covering the song with the Green Day snippet. The song finally appeared as an official studio recording on The Teal Album in 2019.
