Today in Weezer History: 11/29/1991 - The only show played by 60 Wrong Sausages, the band that then dissolved and turned in to Weezer shortly thereafter. Today in 1991, Rivers, Pat Wilson, Jason Cropper and Patrick Finn played at the Phoenix in Petaluma, CA, the only show that 60 Wrong Sausages would ever play, after various jam sessions, demos and rehearsals had gone on since early spring '91, when Pat Finn convinced Jason to move down to LA and join his band with Wilson. Rivers joined a few months later and contributed some hilarious songs. Today's show featured such tracks as "Tennis Ball", "Been Gi" and "Sheriff Wong", as well as some songs originally written by Rivers for his and Wilson's band Fuzz, (which was active late '90 to early '91), such as "The Biggest Animal" and "The Answer Man". About 20 people came to the show including Pat Finn's mom and stepdad, and the sound was kind of abysmal, but this show did pave the way for Weezer in a few short months.
