Lyrics
Oh Allen, it was so much fun when we hung out
No worries were allowed
All that was worth knowing was his holding
And what girls put out
All those seamless nights and reckless fun
We were still so young
Girls would come and go
But I could always count on my best friend
Allen, I regret I ever changed
Fight the good fight, stay the same
Save the hard work for people in the crowd
Oh Allen, you were sure to make us proud
Last winter when I came home for holiday
I ran into Paige
She asked me what you're up to
Had you ever finished art school
And she smiled and said: "Whatever Allen's doing must be great"
I regret I ever changed
Fight the good fight, stay the same
Save the hard work for people in the crowd
Oh Allen, you were sure to make us proud
Sure to make us proud
My friend, now don't get tired
Needs love to feel inspired
There comes a time when things must change
And people act their own age
And when you finally take your bow
I'll be one of the faces in the crowd
I regret I ever changed
Fight the good fight, stay the same
Save the hard work for people in the crowd
Oh Allen, you were sure to make us proud
I regret I ever changed
I regret I ever changed
I regret I ever changed
Allen, you had stayed the same
