Lyrics

I went to the street
The middle of the street
Busy people were passing me by
I went down there
I was looking for answers
But I found nothing but time and silence and light
In your silence and light
In your silence, hey, I
I say goodbye
And goodnight

So what have I, what have I given you
That you could not buy?
Just some shirts and cheap songs
And Japanese toys, that ain't much
To show over time

And what have you,
What have you given me in this life?
Just some waves, I say
Waves of sadness and pride
Places to hide and silence and light
In your silence and light
In your silence, I
I say goodbye
And goodnight

In your silence and light
In your silence, hey I,
I say goodbye
And goodnight
Silence and light
Silence and light
Silence and light
I say goodbye
I say goodnight
I say goodbye
I say goodnight
