Lyrics
You gave me the key, to your car
You said let’s go, to the store
We circled the parking lot for nearly two hours
When we got home the milk had turned sour
The eggs were broken and we forgot the flour
But you said don’t worry there’s always tomorrow
You gave me the key to your home
You said come over not to phone
When I got there the roast was like leather
Candles had burnt down I said it’s nice weather
You were not angry you felt no sorrow
You said don’t worry there’s always tomorrow
There’s always tomorrow
You gave me the key, to your heart
The only key, to your heart
First thing I did was unlock the latch
Jump right on in and fish up the hatch
Hoping and praying no apology would follow
You held the key that I, would swallow
To your heart
To your heart
To your heart
To your heart
To your heart
To your heart
To your heart
To your heart
