Alone XIV: The Pandemic Years (formerly known as Alone XIV: The Black Album, Alone XV: Van Weezer, Alone XVI: OK Human, and Alone XVII: SZNZ) is a digital compilation by Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo, consisting of demos for what would eventually become the Weezer albums Van Weezer, OK Human, and the SZNZ series of EPs. It is the fourteenth installment in the Alone series. The compilation was released on the demo storefront on Cuomo's personal website, riverscuomo.com, on DATE, 2025. Initially intended to be three separate compilations, they were combined early into conception. Like other compilations sold on riverscuomo.com, it is not an album in the conventional sense; it is instead a folder of MP3s accessible through the file hosting service Dropbox or through Cuomo's music streaming website/mobile app, Weezify.

ALONE PANDEMIC YEARS QUOTE

- Rivers Cuomo, riverscuomo.com storefront

On April 14, 2023, Rivers Cuomo created several threads on his Discord server, searching for images to use as covers for Van Weezer, OK Human, and SZNZ series of Alone compilations. Over a year later, on April 23, 2024, entries for the bundles appeared on the riverscuomo.com demo storefront.

On May 8, 2024, these bundle entries were removed from the storefront, and two days later, Cuomo floated the idea of combining the three bundles into one "master folder" labelled The Pandemic Years.[1]
