Overview
"I Want To Be Something", despite being credited to Weezer, is actually a solo Rivers Cuomo acoustic demo. The song's title appears in the Catalog O' Riffs dated 1998. According to the spreadsheet "The 4 and 5 Star Demos of Rivers Cuomo", the demo (presumably the demo that appears on Hurley) is from 2008. It is unknown if the song was revisited 10 years after it was initially written or if the title was simply used for two different songs. The version of the track from the leaked version of Hurley is a few seconds longer and opens with Rivers saying "three-nine-four".
