The song "Precious Metal Girl" was revealed to be a track for Van Weezer in an advance review of album written for the June 2020 issue of the magazine Guitar Player. The song contains a number of references to the Los Angeles hair metal scene of the 1980s, mentioning the bands L.A. Guns and Faster Pussycat, the hairspray brand Aqua Net, and the popular heavy metal venue, the Rainbow Bar and Grill in West Hollywood.
