"Devotion" is a b-side to El Scorcho. Like other songs recorded for Pinkerton, "Devotion" was originally intended for Songs from the Black Hole. When that concept was abandoned in favor of the Puccini-inspired end result, the song was sort of lost in the shuffle, but the band did record it during the albums sessions, and was assigned to B-side status, surfacing on retail editions of "El Scorcho".
