Steakhouse demos

The Steakhouse Demos were recordings Weezer made at Steakhouse Studios from October 21st through November 1st, 2001. These sessions were among the band's first concerted attempts at a fourth album. During these sessions, the band played a live show at Hollywood's Knitting Factory on October 24th under the psuedonym Goat Punishment. This show was filmed and broadcast on HBO as part of their concert series Reverb.
Beginning on November 2, the band moved their work to Cello Studios, and continued the process of making the album.
