Wakin' up at the dawn of a new day
On the open road
And not a care on my mind, I got no time
For any misanthrope
Changing up this lullaby
Into my own battle cry
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Like we used to be
And like we're meant to be
Lollygag in the lee of a highland
'Til my ghost takes flight
In the sky I'm as high as a titan
Feeding on the fire
Shattering those iron bars
Through the sky like shooting stars
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Like we used to be
And like we're meant to be
Changing up this lullaby
Into my own battle cry
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Like we used to be
And like we're meant to be
Wild at Heart

Audio
Lyrics
Five o'clock, got a hot cup of coffee
A quiet place to work
Fountain pens and a graph paper notebook
How I love to learn
I don't need the Viper Room
'Cause this is what I like to do
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Like they used to be
In the 1970s
Chillin' out on a day off in Texas
Sitting 'round the fire
I take a walk with my girl by the river
This is all I require
You can take your hamster wheel
'Cause I finally figured out the deal
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Like they used to be
In the 1970s
You can take your hamster wheel
'Cause I finally figured out the deal
Now I know, this time, that it's for real
'Cause I love the way you make me feel
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Wild at heart
You've got me wild at heart
Like they used to be
In the 1970s
