Overview
Across The Sea: A Tribute to Weezer is a tribute album including renditions of various Weezer songs spanning from Blue to Green by 16 different Japanese artists. The style and instruments used in each song veer from both each other and from the original iterations of the songs. The covers are sung in English despite being performed by Japanese artists. It was released in Japan on May 28, 2003.
The bands REACH and SHORT CIRCUIT, featured on this tribute, contain members who previously performed in the Weezer cover band El Scolcho.
