Overview
"I Hear Bells" was written and recorded in October 2000 in contention for the band's third album, the self-titled Green Album. It was demoed at Rivers Cuomo's home studio on October 29 and November 13, according to the Recording History, but did not make the cut for the album. The song remained unheard until it was released as a bonus track with the Weezer Raditude Club: iTunes Pass.

Lyrics
I hear bells on the street
Ring for you, ring for me
Now you're gone
I wonder who will come back to love me true
Now you're gone
I wonder who will be with me (be with me)
Count the hours, count the days
Since you've gone, so far away
Now you're gone
I wonder who will come back to love me true
Now you're gone
I wonder who will be with me (be with me)
The tears are in my eyes
It comes as no surprise
You couldn't believe the lies I was telling you
